Liberty’s hull is designed for high efficiency and reaches a maximum of 12 knots powered by two 610HP MAN engines. At a length of 31 meters and a width of 7.5 meters her dimensions give her an excellent attitude on most sea conditions.

MV Liberty’s dive deck is oversized for her capacity of 22 divers and provides real ample space to turn dive preparation into a nice part of the dive experience. The dive platform is low enough for easy access to either of Liberty’s two RIBs.

All cabins, Saloon and the dining area are fully air conditioned with individually controlled thermostats.

Cabins are all furnished with cotton linen and towels with a fresh change in the middle of the week.

On the main deck, we have a Honeymoon suit which has 1 queen sized bed and a small couch. By far, the favourite two cabins are situated on the upper deck. They are the only 2 cabins furnished with bunk beds and are compensated with a large bathroom and sea view windows. On the lower deck are spacious 3 double cabins with 2 twin beds and 3 triple with 2 twin beds and 1 bunk . All cabins have AC, a mini bar and an ample bathroom.

The Saloon and connected dining area are an excellent place for a quite cup of coffee and a good book. The rich Mahogany woods finished with Egypt’s best French Polishing inspire a classic marine atmosphere.

Sudan’s unique atmosphere is a ground for dreams and underwater adventures, a real diving rarity where ancient legends come to life. This is the home of Cousteau’s underwater empire, where he conducted his experiments on how man could live under the water. Of the world class ship wreck Umbria resting in her watery grave and of Shaab Rumi with its untouched coral and teeming with hammerhead sharks.

These lovely cabins are downstairs from the saloon and are all kept very clean and tidy, they have 2 single beds and one bunk , AC and bathroom.

Dive sites  * Most famous ones

  • Sanageb National park is a marvel! Consisting of more than 120 reefs and creating a vast environmental complex that gives life to 1000's of marine species and billions of individual creatures. The cliffs and gorges, the schools of Shark flying past and the sheer beauty of the corals will take your breath away.
  • The  Wreck of Umbria is said to be one of the most beautiful wrecks in the world and came to rest on her port side at Wingate Reef. She was an Italian freighter and rests at only 45 minutes sailing from Port Sudan. This 150m wreck lies at a max 40m over on her port side, her starboard side just breaking the surface. An initial investigation can be done by snorkel, as there’s little current.
  • Shaab Rumi an authentic coral garden and cleaning station for some pelagic species. On the west side there are two openings that allow access to the interior lagoon. At a depth of 9 meters next to the external part of the south entrance you can find the remains of the Pre-continent II, the underwater cabin built by the team of Jacques Cousteau in 1963.
  • The Suakin archipelago is located in the southern part of Port Sudan. It is composed of hundreds of islets and coral reefs. Between the different points of this archipelago stand out: Sha'ab Ambar, Sha'ab Jumna, Pinnacle, Logan, Seil'Ada, Hindi Gider, Protector and Preserver Reef.
