The 22 meters Pratiwi liveaboard offers scuba diving cruises in Indonesia, around the Komodo National Park. The Pratiwi is the newer vessel of the Diving Charter Komodo fleet and offers flexible and promising itineraries for divers.

Pratiwi is a small boat that perfectly suits a small company of friends or family. The boat has enough space to comfortably accommodate 6 guests. Because of the small capacity, the boat's crew can provide you with personal care and attention.


The dive boat features 3 comfortable, double-occupancy, cabins located on the lower deck. There are 2 cabins with double-beds, air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. The last cabin also features a double-bed but has a fan only and a shared bathroom. Every cabin comes with sufficient storage space for clothes as well as a porthole window.


The Pratiwi is totally cozy but spacious, inside and out. with only 6 guests onboard you will find there is plenty of room to relax. 

The outdoor dining area is where a mix of traditional Indonesian cuisine and western dishes are served and is a great place to unwind and enjoy the stunning scenery after a day of diving. 

The indoor lounge is fitted with cozy seating, books in many languages, fish ID books and a complete audio and video system. Plus, you’ll find a few board games to play. The indoor dining area is comfortable and has a warm atmosphere, which is a perfect place to share a meal with family or friends.

When you step outside you’ll find lots of space to lounge and admire the view. The big covered deck features mattresses and bean bags so you can stretch out comfortably and take a nap. If you’re more of a sun chaser, you might head to the very top deck where you’ll find the most stunning view of Komodo and you can sunbathe or contemplate the stars at night.


The Pratiwi features just about everything a diver needs for a great scuba diving holiday. The vessel has all the latest navigation and diving safety equipment on-board. The Dive deck is small but there’s plenty of space to set up your camera and gear up. Here you can also store your equipment. Rental equipment is also available on board.

The professional dive guides will take you to the best of Komodo and you can dive up to 3 times a day. The itinerary consists of the greatest dive sites around Komodo Island. This destination is known to divers for its great diversity of dive sites. Divers can discover shallow reefs, dive at underwater mountains and walls. Komodo is home for many pelagic fish, barracudas, mantas, and stingrays. Of course, it's known for big lizards, Komodo dragons.

When to Go

During the time from April till November is dry season and this period diving is best at Komodo Island. After November begins a rainy season, but diving is still possible.

  • The trip usually begins in Labuan Bajo and ends in Labuan Bajo. 
  • The closest airport to the departure harbour is Labuan (LBU) 
  • Please do not book your flight tickets until you have our confirmation.


  • Pickup time at the airport is according to your flights. Give yourself enough time to go through immigration and pickup your bags
  • You will be met by someone of the staff  who will take you directly to the boat
  • Hotel pickup time is in the morning
  • Check in on the boat is between 08:00 and 12:00.
  • The boat departs Labuan Bajo early in the afternoon on the same day
  • The vessel is equipped with European (2 pin) power sockets, Power socket adapters
  • Accepted payment methods on board: Local currency (cash only), Cash, EUR, USD

  • Your last dives will be on the second to last day in the morning

LAST DAY - Day 6

  • Around 2 hours sailing to Sebayur Kecil, check dive. Lunch, sailing to Gili Lawa, afternoon dive Sunset trekking on Gili Lawa Darat island. Night dive. 
  • Castle Rock, Crystal Rock. Cauldron. Lighthouse Pulau Bakau. 
  • Batu Bolong, Karang Makassar, Siaba Kecil. 
  • Tatawa Besar and Pengah Kecil. Moving towards Rinca island. 2 hours trekking in savannah in order to see Komodo dragons. Sailing towards Kalong island, sunset admiring flying foxes. Night in Labuan Bajo.


  • Walls and slopes, mountains and submerged pinnacles, muck diving in the black sand. Pelagic species, but also scenic and good macro.
  • Komodo & Rinca National Park: The narrow straits between these two islands communicate the Flores Sea with the Indian Ocean.
  • Their tide currents provide a continuous exchange of water and nutrients between the inner sea and the ocean creating a unique ecosystem, favouring the biodiversity and the proliferation of peculiarities like the Frog fish or endemic species that can only be observed here, like the sea apple.
  • The depths are densely populated with fixed life, with great underwater variety of landscapes, from diving in vertical walls covered with soft corals resembling the Red Sea gardens to stone structures resembling the cold water reefs of the North Sea.
  • Due to the high degree of protection that this National Park enjoys, it is also an area of great abundance of fish, with thick schools of Carangids, Sweet lips and Butterflies, as well as frequent encounters with Manta Rays and Reef Sharks.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Your reservation request is obligation free and you can cancel anytime within the first 72 hours. During this time you can easily find matching flights and get answers from our reservations team to any further questions you may have. After you have confirmed and paid for your reservation, the following cancellation policy applies: 

  • 30% deposit will not be refunded

In case of cancellation the refund will be transferred to your bank account, credit card or paypal account within 10 business days.

  • Make sure your passport is valid at least six months after the date you plan to visit the country
  • Diving insurance is mandatory for divers of all ages on all of our trips: bring your certificate as proof
  • It is strongly recommended to have travel insurance that is appropriate for the type of diving holidays you are going to do
  • Check the electrical standards (such as which plugs are used) in your destination country before travelling and bring the appropriate adaptor if necessary.
  • The itinerary and the number of dives are indicative and are subject to weather conditions and conditions: safety is always first
  • All divers must provide their diving certification card
  • Diving computers are compulsory
  • Local rates, fuel surcharges, distance rates, port fees, etc. may change without notice due to changes in government policy, changes in the price of oil, etc. The changes are beyond our control and the increases must be paid if the boat requests them. We will endeavor to inform you of any changes as soon as possible. A change in these rates does not entitle you to cancel the trip
